I'm sorry to say that there isn't a child sponsorship program for South Africa. If you follow this link, the drop down box shows all of the countries where children are sponsored: http://www.compassion.com/sponsor_a_child/waystosponsor/childsearch.htm

I have sponsored a child from Kenya for the last 5 years and it has been a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend that you do it if you are able.
